Gowran Park

Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap 2.30
Running in the famous pink and green silks that adorned the great Enable, Ezine got to the winner’s enclosure on just her second start, just holding off Solar Breeze at Naas. She’s entitled to come on for that run, and with Chris Hayes in the saddle should get involved. Solid each way claims

Ladies Day July 23rd Apprentice Handicap 4.15
Urban Oasis (nb)
It should pay to side with John Feane’s Fast Company gelding for this ordinary handicap. He won three on the bounce in a busy spell in May, including here twice, so goes for the course hat-trick. He put clear daylight between himself and the field when scoring on The Mallow at Cork last time out, so clearly progressing well, and is the one to beat

Thomastown Race 5.25
Gear Up
Joseph O’Brien’s colt didn’t get the easiest of passages in the Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes
at The Curragh last month, getting bumped two furlongs out, but has far less on his plate here. There’s no Lafayette, Bear Story or High Definition to contend with here, that trio ahead of him in his last two outings at The Curragh, so this is his chance to get back to winning ways

Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle 2.55
Hurricane Georgie (nap)
She won pretty easily in the end at Wexford last month, returning to timber after seven spins over fences. She’s more than capable of winning in this grade, considering her top class runs over the bigger obstacles. She has to shoulder top weight, but Corey McGivern’s 7lb claim can offset that, and she’s the one to follow

Tote Jackpot Is Back Opportunity Handicap Hurdle 3.30
This looks a straightforward task for Gordon Elliott’s Britzka, with possibly only Dollar Value to give him anything to think about. The Zoffany gelding should have a future in Irish National Hunt, and this looks an ideal opportunity to add to the tally. Hard to oppose in this sort of company, sure to go close
