The Mandarin’s Sunday Selections from ParisLongchamp & Newmarket

ParisLongchamp

Prix Allez France Longines Stakes (Group 3) 2.50
Grand Glory
The winner of the Listed Prix Zarkava Stakes can make it two from two this term, and should be battling it out with the re-opposing Burgarita under much the same conditions. She has a bit of an in and out record around here, but wouldn’t need to find much extra to land this

Prix Ganay Stakes (Group 1) 3.25
Skalleti (nap)
A terrific renewal is in store as Sealiway, winner of the Champion Stakes at Ascot takes on the late finishing Skalleti, and with Pretty Tiger thrown into the mix looking for a hat-trick, there’s plenty to ponder over. The preference is for the grey Skalleti though, who can let Sealiway and Pretty Tiger battle for the lead, before making his habitual late run to grab the honours

Newmarket

Betfair Pretty Polly Stakes (Listed) (Fillies) 2.25
Crenelle
John and Thady Gosden should have the answer to this with Crenelle, who can go on from her win in a maiden here last month. She got a tad playful in the stalls then so hopefully Frankie Dettori can get her to settle better this time, but she always did enough to get over the line when sent to the head of affairs. She’s by Kingman so this step up in trip should suit, key player

Betfair Exchange Dahlia Stakes (Group 2) (Fillies’ And Mares’) 3.00
Ebaiyra
It should pay to side with Francis-Henri Graffard’s mare for this Group 2. She has the advantage of race fitness after a solid third in the Prix Zarkava at ParisLongchamp, though Ville De Grace from Sir Michael Stoute’s yard looked a progressive sort at the back end of last season and can make a race of it. Between these two

Qipco 1,000 Guineas Stakes (Group 1) (Fillies) 3.40
Wild Beauty (nb)
The second Classic of the season can go to Wild Beauty, who will have stripped fitter for her win in the Fred Winter at Newbury last month. This looks a pretty open renewal, despite a tight spread at the top of the ante-post markets, so Wild Beauty looks a steal for an each way punt
